Mubasher: British and Dutch authorities announced on Tuesday that they will impose combined fines of $1.17 million on Uber Technologies for a data breach and cover-up in 2016.
The fines by British Information Commissioner's Office and the Dutch Data Protection Authority are due to the data breach that then exposed the personal details of millions of users.
Uber already settled claims related the data breach in the United States for nearly $160 million.
